Started out as a concept band called Centaur in 1973, later renamed to Mikl Body Rock and toured throughout North America. In 1976, while touring Canada, Jon Mikl Thor met Frank Soda and they formed Thor and the Imps. One year later, signed to RCA, Jon Mikl Thor formed a new incarnation of the band called simply Thor. In 1986 Jon Mikl left the band in order to focus on his actor career. Thor reunited in 1997. A documentary DVD, "I Am Thor" was released in 2016.
