Lina Prey
Ever since age 16, when she was finally allowed to go out and about, Lina Prey became captured by dance music. She was frequenting Exit, which was the only and best club in Kaunas, Lithuania. Lina became hooked on the popular sound of that moment, progressive house, thanks to Exit packing the club every weekend with the likes of: G-Pal & Anna Maria X, John Creamer & Stephane K, Omid 16 B, Hernan Cattaneo, Tone Depth, Sasha, and Deep Dish. Lina became fascinated with wanting to DJ but the opportunity to learn was non existent, and University came calling. Fast forward more than a few years and Lina jumped ship to Amsterdam to explore and try life anew. She immersed herself in Dutch culture and taught herself the language. Not only did she finally find herself at the right time and the right place to learn how to DJ, but also how to DJ proper. She fitted her flat with top gear and devoted countless hours to learning technique and flow. Quickly after that, Lina found herself easily booking gigs around Amsterdam due to her talents. “Being able to play Supperclub Amsterdam was such an honor, considering how new I was to DJing. Everything just took off from there and I was being asked to play all over.” Inspired by current artists such as Hot Since 82, Agoria, Gui Boratto, Caribou, Dense & Pika, and Pig & Dan, Lina inevitably caught the production bug and has been focusing on techno and tech house. Lina’s first EP has been picked up by No-Attitude Recordings, based out of London, UK, and is slated for release in the Fall of 2016.
