Slumberville is a producer who provides lofi music where “simplicity is key, always.” Loving the DIY headspace and approach, as well as the creative freedom of a “bedroom producer," Slumberville enjoys incorporating different genres/styles into his lofi world. "John Carpenter’s Big Trouble in Little China always fascinated me," reflects Slumberville. "The tone, lighting, soundtrack – everything. I have always been very interested in composers that direct or vice versa. Many years after watching this film, I made my first visit to New York and spent a day in Chinatown and absolutely loved it! Even though most of the movie was filmed in California, my New York visit sparked my imagination and brought me back to that movie. And since that day in New York, I have wanted to compose/produce a Swedish/Italian take on Chinatown. I guess this is that: Big Trouble in Little China goes lofi hip-hop in Slumberville."
