Though Flowstrong may be a new name to many of you, this young, multi-talented producer/beat-maker/vocalist has, in a very short time, already made quite an impact throughout Taiwan. Having played more of a supportive role in his previous works (Hogan T., LEO37, Robot Swing, etc.) it's finally Flowstrong’s turn to step into the spotlight with his debut beat tape, Study (of) Breaks. This collection of 7 tracks is a testament to Flowstrong's approach to music, both as a mental escape and a passionate subject of study. Sonically, the beat tape centers around Flowstrong’s innovative production style of manipulating drum breaks. Each track travels its own path between hip-hop and electronic music while evoking energies ranging from soothing to chaotic. On top of Flowstrong's instrumental storytelling, Study (of) Breaks features solid instrument performances from Mujay Chung, Hogan T., and Ting An Chen, as well as stunning vocal performances from DaBao, Roni, and Flowstrong himself.
