Attics To Eden
Not sure of what to make of this. I thought the debut was a great little album. A tad derivative but good and powerful. Here the band have taken a great big melody pill, and in doing so have lost a little edge IMO. Opener "Never Take Us Alive" is a good choice for opener. A bouncy rocker with a 80's hair metal chorus HINDER would be proud of. Staying in the same vein Let's Get Outta Here sounds just like a track from Sixx A.M. cracking song! At this point I start to drift. Too many slow songs - hells teeth "Friends & Lovers" reminds me of MAROON 5!!! and most others a little unimaginative. "Welcome to Oblivion" is the obvious single here IMO, but overall I can't see this release attracting too many fans. The youngsters will love it just because of the name, everybody else will continue to hate them.
