Singer-songwriter Dave Thomas Junior has a penchant for creating emotional yet comforting music that is part dreamy and gentle in its soft acoustic quality. On his song, “Guess I’ll See You Around,” he tackles the concept of the passing of time and how you don’t really have any control of certain things - he expands on this by saying, “if you want something too much you can scare it away.” The dream-like & peaceful composition has a hypnotic chorus reflecting on the unknown and coming to terms with it. He doubles on the vocals with beautiful rich harmonies in between luscious guitar lines, at times even whispering - reminiscent of contemporaries such as Imaginary Future & The Paper Kites.
