Haubenstock-Ramati connects to his musical predecessors as much as he surpasses them. Though dodekaphony does play a noticeable role in his way of thinking, trespassing its rules, he proves his artistical and conceptual independence. His graphical way of notation tranfers an extraordinary amount of responsibility to the performers, inspiring the musicians of Klangforum to an amazing interpretation.
